This study assessed risk factors for uveitis in Finnish sarcoidosis patients. Analysis of patient charts from Tays Eye Centre, Tampere University Hospital, examined 97 patients with sarcoidosis and uveitis, compared with 255 without uveitis. Findings indicated higher rates of lymphocytopenia (43% vs. 29%, p = 0.041) and lower serum lysozyme levels (2.0 mg/L vs. 2.3 mg/L, p = 0.049) among those with uveitis. Further research is suggested to clarify their role as potential risk indicators in sarcoidosis management.
