
A recent cross-sectional study investigated invasive cutaneous melanoma incidence rates among non-Hispanic American Indian/Alaska Native individuals from 1999 to 2019. Utilizing population-based cancer registry data, researchers found a concerning trend with the second-highest incidence rate in the US after non-Hispanic Whites. Rates were higher in males, individuals aged 55 and older, and those residing in the Southern Plains and Pacific Coast regions.
