A study utilizing data from the NHANES revealed three distinct lifestyle patterns. Class 1- exhibited a healthy lifestyle with a prevalence of oral examination (75%), favourable self-rated oral health (92%), and engagement in physical activity (50%). Class 2- displayed the lowest alcohol consumption and smoking rates but the highest prevalence of physical inactivity. Class 3- showed a tendency for smoking, alcohol consumption, shorter sleep duration, absence of oral examinations, and suboptimal self-rated oral health. The analysis indicated that periodontitis risk increased by 24% for each additional unhealthy lifestyle practised. Class 3 had a higher risk of periodontitis compared to Class 1. These findings underscore the importance of considering diverse lifestyle patterns in the development of public health interventions and clinical care to mitigate the risk of periodontitis
