A retrospective case series study analyzed clinical profiles, causative pathogens, and outcomes of endophthalmitis post-intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) injections. The study examined eleven eyes of 10 patients, showing a significant decline in visual acuity at presentation and 6- and 12-month follow-ups. However, by 24 months, visual acuity returned to baseline values. Notably, some eyes with various retinal conditions experienced disease quiescence without requiring further anti-VEGF injections. These findings suggest potential long-term recovery and varied responses to treatment post-endophthalmitis.
