The study aimed to assess the quality of life in women following peripartum hysterectomy using the Hindi version of the SF-36 questionnaire. Long-term effects on physical, mental, and social well-being were examined in Indian women who underwent the procedure between January 2017 and May 2021. Of the 138 women post-hysterectomy, 118 were included. Results revealed that those assessed after two years showed significantly lower quality of life in 6/8 SF-36 domains. The study suggests a need for comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, long-term follow-up, including physiotherapy and psychotherapy, guided by a dedicated clinical team.
