A study evaluated the efficacy of serum progesterone in predicting miscarriage among early pregnant individuals with threatened miscarriage. The study utilized various databases, including PubMed and Cochrane Library and analyzed 12 eligible studies. Results showed progesterone's ability to distinguish miscarriage risk, particularly when levels were <12 ng/mL, indicating higher diagnostic accuracy. This suggests single progesterone measurement could serve as a valuable biomarker for identifying miscarriage risk in early pregnancy.
