A study revealed that sustained weight loss is achievable post-treatment for users of obesity medications. Combining supervised exercise with medication aids in maintaining weight loss in the long term. Participants experienced significant reductions in body weight (-5.1 kg) and body fat percentage (-2.3%) one year after termination of combined exercise and medication treatment compared to medication alone. The addition of supervised exercise increased the likelihood of maintaining a weight loss of at least 10% of initial body weight.
