Limitations include variations in detection methods across studies, potential broader immune system disorders, and a lack of data on thyroxine therapy's impact on RM.

In nine patients with severe, treatment-refractory MMP, tocilizumab reduced mean disease activity scores from 14.8 to 4.2. At final evaluation, 78% achieved partial remission and 11% complete remission.
