A study involving 36,911 healthy Chinese individuals explores the age-related trends in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) using CKD-EPI, FAS, and Xiangya equations. The study reveals distinct patterns: eGFR by CKD-EPI and Xiangya starts declining at 18, while FAS remains stable under 40 before a rapid decrease. Females exhibit higher initial eGFR levels but a faster decline than males. Agreement analysis indicates good concordance between CKD-EPI and FAS, with varied agreement between Xiangya and other equations based on age groups.
