Study Validates L-PF-35 Dyspnea Domain in Fibrotic Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis QoL Assessment

A recent study examined the impact of dyspnea on the quality of life of patients with fibrotic hypersensitivity pneumonitis (FHP). The reliability, validity, and responsiveness of the Living with Pulmonary Fibrosis questionnaire (L-PF) were evaluated. Using data from the Pirfenidone in the FHP trial, the study focused on the L-PF-35 Dyspnea domain score. Results indicated a high internal consistency of 0.85 and significant correlations with various anchors, suggesting the L-PF-35 Dyspnea domain effectively assesses dyspnea in FHP patients. Further research is required for comprehensive validation.
