A study investigated sublingual edaravone dexborneol's efficacy in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients. Administered twice daily for 14 days, patients on the regimen showed significantly better 90-day functional outcomes compared to the placebo group. The treatment group displayed a higher proportion of patients with favorable outcomes (64.4% vs. 54.7%). This multitarget brain cytoprotection offers promising prospects in AIS management, potentially revolutionizing stroke treatment strategies.
