This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the success rate of pulpotomy, a dental procedure, in permanent teeth using different materials. The study comprehensively searched various databases and included 16 relevant studies. The results showed an overall success rate of 92% after one year. The meta-analysis revealed that pulpotomies using mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) had a significantly higher success rate than those using calcium hydroxide. However, the certainty of the evidence was low, highlighting the need for further well-designed clinical trials to assess the long-term outcomes of pulpotomy with newer bioceramic materials.
