A study on 118 breast cancer patients undergoing radical mastectomy found that sufentanil improved immune function, reduced pain, and had a brain-sparing effect. Patients in the sufentanil group had lower VAS scores, reduced pain mediators, and better cognitive outcomes compared to controls. The drug also lowered brain injury markers and reduced postoperative complications, supporting its clinical benefits.
