Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory disease, and new systemic treatments have been approved for moderate to severe cases. This narrative review focuses on understanding long-term efficacy and safety of approved systemic AD treatments. It discusses trial methodologies, statistical analysis, and key efficacy results from longer-term phase III clinical trials of FDA-approved systemic treatments such as dupilumab, tralokinumab, abrocitinib, and upadacitinib.
