In peritoneal dialysis (PD), chronic inflammatory disorders negatively impact clinical outcomes. The systemic immune inflammation index (SII), associated with various diseases, lacks ample exploration regarding its link to all-cause mortality in PD patients. A retrospective study involving 1,677 PD patients, categorized by SII tertiles, revealed a 30.5 ± 20.0 months follow-up with 26.0% mortality. The highest SII tertile exhibited significantly elevated all-cause mortality, indicating an 80% greater risk than the lowest tertile. These findings highlight the crucial association between SII and mortality in PD, emphasizing its clinical relevance.
