The phase 2 randomized, triple-blind trial evaluated the safety and efficacy of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) combined with modified constraint-induced movement therapy (mCIMT) in 129 stroke patients. No significant difference in motor recovery was found between sham, 2 mA, and 4 mA tDCS groups. However, tDCS was safe, well tolerated, and feasible.
