Tea Consumption's Impact on Prediabetes, Diabetes, and Urinary Markers

The study explored the links between tea consumption and prediabetes, diabetes, and urinary glucose and sodium excretion in Chinese adults. Daily tea drinkers had lower odds of prediabetes and diabetes, with dark tea showing the most significant reduction. However, dark tea was also associated with higher urinary glucose and sodium excretion. These findings suggest the benefits and potential drawbacks of regular tea consumption.
