The Association Between Self-Reported Anxiety and Retention in Opioid Agonist Therapy

This study investigates the impact of baseline anxiety severity on retention in opioid agonist therapy (OAT) for prescription-type opioid use disorder. Analyzing data from a trial with 268 participants, the study finds that anxiety severity does not significantly affect retention, and this effect is consistent across methadone maintenance therapy and buprenorphine/naloxone.
