Life expectancy at birth improved from 77.0 to 82.9 years during this period. Non-communicable diseases were the leading cause of mortality, followed by injuries and communicable diseases. Ischemic heart disease, self-harm, cancer, stroke, and colorectal cancer were leading causes of years of life lost, while low back pain, depressive disorders, and musculoskeletal issues were leading causes of years lived with disability.
