The cost‐effectiveness of dapagliflozin in heart failure with preserved or mildly reduced ejection fraction: A European health‐economic analysis of the DELIVER trial

The study evaluated the cost-effectiveness of adding dapagliflozin to standard care for patients with heart failure and mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction in the UK, Germany, and Spain. A model using patient-level data from the DELIVER trial was developed, incorporating health states, transition probabilities, and costs. Dapagliflozin treatment was projected to increase quality-adjusted life-years (QALYs) and life-years while extending time spent in the best health state. Incremental cost-effectiveness ratios were favorable in all three countries. The study suggests that dapagliflozin is likely cost-effective for this patient population in European countries.
