The 2023 update of the International Consensus Statement on Allergy and Rhinology: Allergic Rhinitis (ICAR-Allergic Rhinitis) expands the 2018 document with 144 individual topics and an executive summary of evidence-based findings and recommendations. The document employed established evidence-based review with recommendation methodology and iterative peer review and consensus for each topic. The 2023 update includes 10 major content areas and provides an aggregate grade of evidence for many topics and recommendation summaries for diagnostic or therapeutic interventions. The update provides a comprehensive evaluation of allergic rhinitis based on the currently available evidence.
