A study examined the impact of floatation-REST (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy) on body image disturbance and anxiety in anorexia nervosa (AN) patients. The trial included 68 participants, with the floatation-REST group experiencing acute reductions in body dissatisfaction and anxiety after each session, sustained up to a six-month follow-up. These findings suggest floatation-REST could be a non-pharmacological treatment option for AN patients with body image and anxiety issues.
