A study investigated the impact of meniscal tear type and treatment during anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) on quadriceps strength in adolescents during the late rehabilitative phase. The hypothesis was that tears involving the root and requiring repair would negatively affect quadriceps strength at 6 to 9 months postoperatively. The study included 236 patients who underwent ACLR, and they were grouped based on meniscal tear type and treatment. The results showed that neither the tear type nor the treatment had a significant effect on quadriceps strength or symmetry. Therefore, the study concluded that these factors do not impact quadriceps strength in adolescents after ACLR.
