This study investigates the relationship between severe atopic dermatitis (AD) and the necessity for surgical intervention in glaucoma patients. Analyzing data from 528,469 patients, results revealed that those with severe AD faced a significantly higher risk of requiring glaucoma surgery compared to non-AD patients (hazard ratio: 2.80). These findings emphasize the need for prompt specialist care and rigorous monitoring for glaucoma patients with severe AD.
