The transalveolar approach with the small segmentation method for inclined maxillary sinus floor elevation: A retrospective study

A study revealed the success of a novel approach for inclined maxillary sinus floor elevation. Involving 61 patients, the transalveolar method with small segmentation was applied, with patients grouped based on the tilt angle of the sinus floor. Impressive results include osseointegration in all patients, functional restorations, and minimal sinus membrane perforations. Notably, the middle point elevation in Group A (tilt angle ≥ 10° and ≤ 30°) surpassed Group B (> 30°). This innovative technique offers promise for enhancing maxillary sinus floor elevation, potentially revolutionizing dental implant procedures.
