A new study reveals that the Water Swallow Test (WST) is more accurate than the Eating Assessment Tool (EAT‐10) questionnaire in predicting dysphagia findings in videofluoroscopy (VFS). Coughing and bolus size were identified as crucial variables in the WST. VFS is the gold standard for dysphagia evaluation, and this study highlights the effectiveness of the WST in screening for referral to VFS. The absence of coughing was a strong indicator of normal VFS findings, while a bolus size of ≤20 mL was sensitive in predicting abnormal findings. These findings emphasize the superiority of WST over EAT‐10 in predicting VFS outcomes.
