Thrombolysis in PE-Induced Cardiac Arrest: Challenges and Cases

This study examines cerebrovascular events during thrombolysis in pulmonary embolism-induced cardiac arrest. Three cases illustrate the complexity of balancing thrombolytic therapy and cerebrovascular risks: one patient survived neurologically intact after prompt thrombolysis, another died following delayed thrombolysis, and a third was contraindicated for thrombolysis due to subarachnoid hemorrhage. The study suggests approaches for thrombolysis: prolonged resuscitation, prompt administration, and ruling out cerebrovascular events.
