Therefore, the present study investigates using a novel thyroid tumour ratio measurement in children with thyroid cancer. The present study is the first to describe thyroid tumour volume in pediatric thyroid cancer. Furthermore, it shows that an increased tumour ratio was associated with indicators of more advanced disease such as lymph node metastases and the use of radioactive iodine.
