
Time in range provides valuable insights and should be used alongside HbA1c as an outcome measure in type 2 diabetes trials. A review of 110 studies, including 45 randomized trials, highlights time in range's clinical relevance for assessing euglycemia (3.9–10.0 mmol/L). Although HbA1c remains the gold standard, time in range is a promising addition, offering more comprehensive insights into glucose management.
