In the Phase III SKYSCRAPER-02 study, the efficacy of atezolizumab plus carboplatin and etoposide (CE) in untreated extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) was investigated, with the addition of tiragolumab. The final analysis of progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) revealed no significant improvement with tiragolumab. The study involved 490 patients, with tiragolumab showing comparable results to the control arm. Although tiragolumab did not enhance benefits, the combination was well-tolerated, and safety profiles were consistent. These findings suggest limited additional benefits from tiragolumab in untreated ES-SCLC.
