The study compares outcomes of transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) and mitral valve transcatheter edge‐to-edge repair (M-TEER) for treating secondary mitral regurgitation (SMR). The study analyzed 235 TMVR patients and 411 M-TEER patients and found that TMVR resulted in better mitral regurgitation reduction and symptomatic improvement, while mortality rates were similar between the two groups. However, post-procedural mortality tended to be higher after TMVR.
