This study examines how time-restricted eating (TRE) influences fat mobilization using human adipose tissue cultures. By comparing early TRE (eTRE), delayed TRE (dTRE), and 24-hour fasting, researchers found that both eTRE and dTRE significantly increased lipolysis compared to controls. eTRE was particularly effective, showing higher glycerol release, especially during nighttime. These findings suggest TRE may be beneficial for fat mobilization and inform future dietary strategies for weight management.
