The adoption of family and child goal-setting in pediatric rehabilitation is crucial for positive long-term outcomes. Solution-focused coaching (SFC) is seen as a promising approach, yet its implementation by healthcare providers (HCPs) remains low. Using the COM-B model, this study surveyed HCPs in a pediatric rehabilitation hospital to identify strengths and challenges related to SFC goal-setting. HCPs value SFC but struggle due to individual skill gaps, lack of experience, client preparation issues, and inadequate organizational support.
