This study aimed to compare uterine contractility patterns in the periovulatory phase between nulliparous patients with isolated adenomyosis (Group A, n=18) and healthy controls (Group B, n=18) using transvaginal ultrasound. The patients in Group A exhibited a higher incidence of painful symptoms and larger uterine volume. Uterine contractility analysis revealed significant differences in retrograde patterns (27.8% vs 72.2%) and opposing patterns (38.9% vs 5.6%) in Group A compared to Group B. The findings suggest altered uterine peristalsis in the periovulatory phase in patients with adenomyosis, potentially contributing to clinical manifestations and anatomical damage.
