This cross-sectional study in 2023, involving 500 multiple sclerosis (MS) patients in Iran, aimed to design and validate a questionnaire on factors affecting self-care behaviors in MS patients. Psychometric assessments led to a refined questionnaire with 47 questions across four subscales: understanding disease symptoms, conscious and targeted care, laziness in care, and inclination towards therapy services. Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's omega index demonstrated high reliability. This validated questionnaire offers a comprehensive tool to gauge factors influencing the adoption of self-care behaviors in individuals with multiple sclerosis.
