Vision Impairment and Patient Activation among Medicare Beneficiaries

The article discusses the association between patient activation and vision impairment in older Medicare beneficiaries. A cross-sectional study was conducted using the 2016 Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey, which included participants without dementia who completed a patient activation questionnaire. The results showed that people with vision impairment had lower odds of higher patient activation scores, and those with dual sensory impairment had even lower odds.
