Waning anti-SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain total antibody in CoronaVac-vaccinated individuals in Indonesia

A study was conducted to assess the level of anti-SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain (RBD) total antibody in individuals who received the CoronaVac vaccine at different time points after the second dose. The results showed a decrease in antibody titers over time post-vaccination. Samples taken at five and six months post-vaccination had significantly lower antibody titers compared to the first month. However, a protective level of antibody titers was observed in samples taken within one to three months. Individuals who had a regular healthy meal intake had higher antibody titers. These findings provide insights into the long-term efficacy of the CoronaVac vaccine and may guide future vaccination strategies.
