Weight Loss Linked to Waitlist Mortality in Obese Kidney Transplant Candidates

A study on kidney transplant candidates with obesity found that frail candidates who experienced unintentional weight loss had a lower chance of listing but a higher waitlist mortality. In frail patients, intentional weight loss did not affect listing chances, but both unintentional and intentional weight loss were linked to increased waitlist mortality.
