Womenʼs attitude towards COVID‐19 vaccination in pregnancy: A survey study in northern Italy

This study explored the attitudes, risk perceptions, and reasons for vaccine hesitancy among pregnant women regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. The results showed that 82.7% of the women accepted COVID-19 vaccination. Those who had previously been vaccinated against pertussis were more likely to accept the COVID-19 vaccine. Conversely, having had COVID-19 during pregnancy and having a high-risk perception regarding the vaccine's impact on the fetus were associated with vaccine hesitancy. Concerns about the safety of the vaccine during pregnancy and potential harm to the fetus were the main reasons for hesitancy.
