WT1 and PRAME RNA-loaded dendritic cell vaccine as maintenance therapy in de novo AML after intensive induction chemotherapy

A promising treatment using autologous RNA-loaded mature dendritic cell (mDC) vaccine for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients in first remission (CR1) ineligible for stem cell transplantation showed positive results. In a 2-year study, 55% of patients remained in complete remission (CR), and 4 out of 6 relapsing patients achieved CR2 after salvage therapy and transplantation. Overall survival (OS) at five years reached 75%, with 70% of patients aged ≥60 as long-term survivors.
