A biomimetic nanoplatform for customized photothermal therapy of HNSCC evaluated on patient-derived xenograft models

The study demonstrates a new nanotechnology approach for treating cancer called Cancer Cell Membrane (CCM) derived nanotechnology. This approach uses nanoparticles that are functionalized with CCM to recognize and target cancer cells, with the goal of increasing the accuracy and efficiency of cancer therapy. The study discusses how the CCM-modified nanoparticles were tested on various models of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and found to have a high therapeutic efficiency. The results of the study suggest that this approach has the potential to be a promising treatment for HNSCC and could be extended to other types of cancer in the future.
