A recent study compared two survival analysis models to assess the risk of stillbirth based on gestational age and pre-pregnancy BMI. The research analyzed data from singleton live births and stillbirths in the United States from 2016 to 2017. The study found that both models yielded similar results when BMI was considered as a categorical or continuous variable with linear associations. However, PAMMs provided more nuanced insights when estimating time-varying effects.
