The study analyzed data from three trials involving individuals with overweight or obesity, with or without type 2 diabetes, who received semaglutide treatment. The study developed a population pharmacokinetic model to describe semaglutide exposure and an exposure-response model to predict weight change. The results showed that exposure levels consistently explained weight-loss patterns across different trials and dosing regimens. The study concluded that the exposure-response model effectively predicts weight-loss trajectories for people receiving semaglutide doses of up to 2.4 mg once weekly.
