A pediatric primary care practice-based obesity intervention to support families

This study compared the effectiveness of two interventions, telephonic coaching (Fitline Coaching) and a mailed workbook (Fitline Workbook), in reducing BMI among children in pediatric practices. Both interventions led to improvements in BMI percentile, but only the telephonic coaching group showed a significant reduction in BMI z score, with 20.8% achieving clinically meaningful improvements. Despite these modest results, more research is needed to determine the program's suitability for routine pediatric care.
