This study explores the role of the LCN2/LOXL2/MMP9 ternary complex in promoting the migration, invasion, and malignant progression of oesophagal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The complex is found to enhance tumour cell functions, induce ECM remodelling, and activate specific signalling pathways. Inhibition using the iron chelator DFOM shows potential therapeutic intervention, highlighting the complex as a possible target for ESCC treatment.
