A recent pilot study compared the effectiveness of laser therapy and pelvic floor physical therapy in treating stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in postmenopausal women. The study found that both treatments were safe and improved patients' quality of life. Laser therapy resulted in a greater reduction in urinary loss 6 and 12 months after treatment than physical therapy. However, there was no significant difference between the two groups at the end of the follow-up period. These findings suggest that laser therapy could be a promising alternative for treating SUI in postmenopausal women.
