
A groundbreaking development in cancer detection: Multiplex dPCR assay detects 26 genetic variants in non-small cell lung cancer with high accuracy. Digital PCR (dPCR) is revolutionizing cancer genomics due to its sensitivity. This proof-of-concept assay identifies 12 single-nucleotide and indel variants in EGFR, KRAS, BRAF, and ERBB2, and 14 gene fusions in ALK, RET, ROS1, and NTRK1. It also uses multi-spectral encoding to reduce background noise, ensuring precise results. In a study of 62 FFPE samples, it achieved 100% positive and 98.5% negative agreement compared to sequencing, even rescuing actionable data in previously challenging samples.
