A scoping review of clinical trials aimed at developing quality indicators for transitional care in heart failure (HF) patients. Current measures focus on readmissions without considering death or health outcomes. Researchers analyzed 42 randomized controlled trials and identified ten process, six structure, two patient-reported, and four clinical indicators. Three process indicators were associated with clinically relevant outcomes. The findings provide guidance for clinicians, researchers, and policymakers to measure and enhance transitional care in HF, leading to improved clinical outcomes. This study offers valuable insights to shape management strategies, research designs, resource allocation, and service funding.

Evidence indicates that ASC speck formation triggers caspase-1 activation, gasdermin D-mediated pyroptosis, and IL-1β/IL-18 signalling, creating self-amplifying inflammation and tissue breakdown. The model could refine diagnosis and help redefine the biological limits of vital pulp therapy.

Varenicline increased tear production but needs further comparative validation.
