A targeted psychological treatment for sleep problems in young people at ultra-high risk of psychosis in England

A study suggested treating sleep problems could benefit mental health outcomes in young individuals at ultra-high risk of psychosis. The study involved targeted psychological therapy (SleepWell) alongside usual care. Preliminary results show reduced insomnia severity sustained over months. Out of 40 recruited participants, 95% completed the primary outcome assessment. This study sets the stage for a broader multicenter trial to delve deeper into the potential of sleep therapy for improving mental health in at-risk youth.
