Abelacimab Reduces Bleeding Events in Atrial Fibrillation

In a trial of atrial fibrillation patients at moderate-to-high stroke risk, abelacimab (150 mg and 90 mg monthly) resulted in significantly fewer bleeding events compared to rivaroxaban (20 mg daily). After 3 months, bleeding incidents were reduced by 62-69% with abelacimab, and it achieved a 99% reduction in free factor XI at the higher dose.
